My dd is 5 and doesn't understand the lyrics of the songs so I really don't make much of an issue of it. Then again, I always thought Mary Jane was actually a person Rick James was talking about until I hit my 20's. I'm not a big mainstream rap fan, but I do like some (Will Smith, Mase to name a few). We do listen to a variety of music though from R&B to country. My dd loves to dance and one minute she'll be dancing to Destiny's Child, and the next minute she's all into Keith Urban.
