What ever you do, DON'T get on the scale!

I had a Dr appt about a week ago and another today and i've gained 6 lbs in a little over a week! : At this rate i'll gain 200 lbs before the birth! Here I was worried I wasn't eating enough because i'm never hungry! I'm really not eating that much or stuff high in calories so i'm wondering where the weight came from. I thought maybe there scale was messed up so I weighed myself at home and sure enough...

Remember early bloating and water weight. It's normal, don't fret too bad. I've also gained 6-7lbs in a week, and I'm chronically underweight so that's crazy for me.

yup...i was 134 before i got pregnant and yesterday at the doc i was 145. you could have knocked me over with a feather. of course, that's the doc's scale and i didn't check my own scale when i got home. i was eating a lot the first week and since the nausea started i haven't been eating nearly as much so i don't know...i also haven't been drinking a lot because it makes me even more nauseous so i'm sure a lot of it is water retention. anyway, i'm trying not to worry about it. HA!

I make it a rule not to weigh myself or to be told what I weigh EVER.

I have never been able to disassociate my weight from how I feel about my body...so I stopped weighing totally. If I ever got weighed by a doc or midwife, they were told not to tell me what I weighed. Maybe oblivious, but makes me feel better! ; )
