Second Trimester Brainstorm

August through October

Going hiking
Camping out
Peeing constantly
Getting a million bug bites that itched for two months and left scars
Being proud of mowing the yard
Taking daily naps and not feeling guilty
It's a boy!!!!!
Crying from happiness when I found out it was a boy
Praying
Maternity clothes
Water aerobics
Pregnant in a bikini
Substitute teaching
Daily walks

Chicken noodle soup and grilled cheese sandwiches
Dad staying with me when my husband had to work out of town for a month

Finding out my friend was pregnant, too!

Second trimester brainstorm (this is ten years ago now so I am just naming memories!)

can anybody tell yet?

now he can feel the kicks too

finding out it's a boy and naming him
the “baby shower” where I didn't know anybody
the lady who said her pregnancy went 11 months
maternity clothes, splurge on the denim jumper from the baby store
how can I possibly have gained 20 pounds?

the first baby clothes, given as a wedding present
graduating at 4 months pregnant
getting married at 5 months pregnant
first colostrum, felt during wedding reception
honeymoon trip to Sorensen's and reading Fit Pregnancy on the bed
trip to Oregon and pregnant pics on the beach
4th of July trip to Sequoia and feeling strange at Panther gap
snow hiking while pregnant; he carried everything
flats of strawberries; blueberries from Sue
my obsession over the Good Housekeeping pregnancy book

Second pregnancy:
migraine lights
my short, short temper and throwing things
explaining to Jeremy about the baby growing in me
I peeked at the ultrasound even though I didn't want to know the gender
worry over the half-hour drive to the hospital in winter
wishing for a girl
so much bigger so much sooner
