When to Hold Yard Sale?

We are going to have a 1-day yard sale in early June. I thought I read in more than one place that Fridays are the best day to have them, since a lot of garage sale shoppers are retirees and sahm's, and wouldn't be at work anyway.
My mother, on the other hand, says Saturday? What do you all think?

Definitly Saturday! IME, the only 1-day YS's that are held on Fridays are only b/c the seller must be somewhere else on Saturday. Saturday is by far the most popular day to go yardsaling. The most people have off work to go yardsaling, and the most people who do work on weedays are having their yardsales. Have fun!!
