anybody else turn into a crappy mom?

i feel so ill all the time that i've become the worst mommy on the planet. my fuse is so short with ds and i'm just so annoyed with him constantly. i have no energy to play with him and moving around too fast makes me feel so nauseous it's insane. i am hating this so much. of course i'll endure whatever it takes for this little bean to grow, but i'm so miserable i'm counting the minutes until it's over.

with my third pregnancy i gave in (after nine years without ) to having a tv

with my fourth i was so sick they had some movies (like monsters inc) memorized and i had a six year old changing toddler's diapers

it will eventually be better (i was nauseous and vomiting throughout, but learned my limits and best times of day, best places for smells, etc)

I'm having a very hard time with my patience level right now. My daughter is a red-head through and through, and I know no one here can understand unless they have one themselves. Everyone says, "spirited" and "high needs" but you really don't know!...
Anyway, she's almost two now and really getting into pushing limits like crazy. She can destroy a house in ten minutes if I don't watch her carefully and I feel like breaking down and crying every time she goes on another rampage.

wow...so Tempest is a perfect name for her? My DS is *thankfully* a really mellow guy and doesn't get into a whole lot of stuff, except for ME! he's so cliiiiiiiiingy!!! Most of the time I love it and we're very close and very attached. But right now it is really backfiring on me. LOL

this will end. eventually. it will get better. it has to. *sigh*

I am so glad the weather is nice and we can go to the park, because if I had to keep them in the house every day I would lose my mind.

We go to the park for 2 hours and they wear themselves out, then come home and take a nap.

It keeps me sane.

i wish i had the energy to go to the park or didn't have the fear that i'd have to hurl in the bushes. DS also has a nasty cold right now so i dont' want to get other kids sick. i might have to give up on that one, though, because the poor little guy needs some fun! maybe i'll try that this afternoon.

I had to chimne in I have a 3 year old and a 8 month old...my 3 year old DD keeps saying mamma Im board...and I NEED ATTENTION and why are yuo pregnant???my 8 month old is still nursing contently and caring little I feel so lame and I too have a short fuse I am so snappy and thats not like me I feeel so sad for DD :

Add me to the list : i've been cranky and dd's been a little brat lately which is not helping. I know its not PC to call your kid a brat but no doubt about it thats what she's been the last couple weeks. She's also been more loving but over all, she needs a major attitude adjustment. I hear 5 is even worse then 4 but 6 is better, I cant wait for 6!

Add me too. I am not doing this again. I told my dh to remind me to stop at 2 kids because I hate being such a crappy mom to to ds right now! I am puking up everything and nauseated and all I want to do is sit on the couch. Yesterday he peed through 2 diapers because I totally spaced out about changing him. I feel like such a loser.

i am not getting the boys out of the house as often as i should and i feel so tired and overwhelmed

i am having majot trouble keeping on top of the mess in the house and i just feel so tired

i crave time alone all the time and have lost all my get up and go

Well, my pregnancy is easy so far, but I have been a bad mom lately. I'm a college student and I've been so busy with the end of the semester, Jules has spent 2 nights at my moms and 1 at his dad's out of the past 8, and two days (but not nights) with his other grandma... I'll be done soon and hopefully this pregnancy will stay as smooth as it is now, but chances are once I get to 6 weeks or so I'll be sleeping all day long!

Count me in. I officially suck as a mommy right now. Of course it doesn't help that Jake is launching into his terrible 2s early (he's 17 mos today). He falls into major melt down on the floor fits at the drop of a hat, has recently learned the not so fine art of "NO!", etc, etc. And all the while I just want to crawl into the darkest quiestest spot and sleep. DH has been great - but of course he's at work all day while I'm at home trying to keep my head above water. I try to get him to parks, etc as much as possible but tomorrow is Gymboree day and I'm already dreading it because I'm so tired. I know it will pass. I just keep telling myself that. But for now it's really hard. I watch the clock until dh gets home and I can "clock out" for the night. Sad. Like I said, I suck right now.

I am sick all the time. Thank goodness the nausea so far has been only minor while at work but still... dh has been cooking, cleaning, and taking care of 2.5 year old dd ( and not doing at great job of the latter). I feel terrible. I come home and lie down. I lie down for atleast 3-5 days on the weekend. This is soooo different than with dd.

Yep here too. My 20 month old still does ;not sleep like a champ so I am up and down, of course making me cranky. Then during the day I am so tired anyway that I can't function... I live for naptime./ But then at nap he does the same up after 30 min to nurse again.. AND IT IS MAKING ME CRANKY. My almost 4 yr old is helpful but needs a playful mommmie too. UGH this is killing me.

Wow, I'm not the only one!!!

I'm a Kindergarten teacher, so I deal with twenty-five 5 and 6 year olds, so by the time I get home, I have absolutely NO patience with my 4 year old. I was liking the idea of school starting in September, but now that it's the end of the school year, and we have to go until June 9th, I REALLY wonder if my sanity is going to make it!! All those kindergarteners are just as anxious to get out of school as I am, and they are ALL testing me.

And to make things worse, we are changing to the August start date, so our summer break is only like 6 or 7 weeks. The one summer where I would LOVE a long break, is shortened.

This weekend I was a terrible mother. Saturday night was bath night. I don't wash the girls' hair often (as in, I'm not really sure when I last washed it on either), but M had gotten cotton candy (weak moment) in her hair and it needed washed. Suddenly she decided she was TERRIFIED of having water poured on her head and proceeded to freak out. This of course caused K to freak out as well and suddenly I had two SCREAMING little girls in the tub after what had already been a long day.

I snapped. I yelled. I felt terribly afterwards. The situation was eventually remedied and all was well... but gee whiz... flipping out over a three-year-old protesting getting her hair wet? What was I thinking? It was most certainly not the end of the world.

Every day is a new day, I suppose. I'm trying to keep my cool, but it really is tough.

oh gosh...hair getting wet IS a big deal in this house! LOL that's why i don't do baths anymore. That's Daddy time. He has somehow gotten Rowan to actually ENJOY getting his hair wet (he does a big song and dance about him being under a waterfall and gets him all excited)...i suck at it so I don't bother. LMAO Mommy bath night is the night when he doesn't get his hair washed. But Mommy bath night has only happened about 3 times in the past 6 months. LMAO!!!!

i HATE bathtime, so i just don't do it. LOL hate it hate it hate it more than DS does so i *feel* your pain.

When I was pregnant with Liam, I would not let a drop of caffiene touch my lips (and I am a die-hard coffee addict and lover) for the full 8 months I was pregnant. Now, If i want to function at all as a mother or wife........well let's just say I fell off that wagon after all the crippling fatigue I have been having with this pregnancy.
