Eating seems like such a chore

Eating these days seems like such a chore. Nothing -- absolutely nothing -- sounds good. I'm taking my prenatals (left over from last time... nope, this #3 was a bit of a surprise!) and trying to eat sensibly, but... everything seems so ick!

Yesterday I went out and got some orange juice. I know with dd1 and dd2 I Could Not Get Enough OJ! I could drink a gallon in a day : ... so I got some, brought it home, poured up a big ol' glass of it... and just about puked it all up. I swear it tasted like it was two weeks past it's expiration date (of course it wasn't... still had two/three weeks to go before the expiration date!). Poor dh... we've eaten a lot of ramen lately. I'll throw in some vegetables, but.. that's about all I can handle right now.

I haven't thrown up yet. I didn't with my pregnancies with the girls either.

But so far... I constantly have the watering mouth (you know, the pre-puking watery mouth?), and rolling stomach, and I feel like I have to take a lot of deep breaths (like it will settle my stomach or something -- ha! I should know better).

I guess it would be like sea-sickness? I've never been out to sea, so I can't tell you exactly, but it sure feels wavy, gunky to me!

Poor thing, I know how you feel. I'm not feeling that way yet...but I remember distinctly! Hope you find something that helps you feel better!

mmmmmm....ramen, that and cheese pizza are the only foods that sound even remotely good!! So healthy!! I feel EXACTLY the same as you, no puking but watery mouth, unsettled stomach. I actually went and bought the sea sick armbands yesterday, they maybe helped a little, but I still felt queasy at my friends bbq, luckily the pasta salad was bland.

The preggie pops help a little when I can't seem to stomach anything.

Good luck to you!!

Me too, sisters. That's too funny about the ramen noodles; tonight DH and I went to the grocery store and that was about the only thing that sounded remotely tolerable. That, and I'm craving lemonade like crazy, which I never drink. I was also craving pizza last week, but that's not even high on the list anymore. I'm still craving fried rice for some weird reason, and basically anything high carb. Tonight I'm eating a baked potato for dinner, and that's it. DH tried to convince me to eat some chicken, but I just can't do it.

I do manage to drink a V8 every day, but I really wish I could get back on board with my generally healthy diet; I usually get a few servings of veggies every day, but not so much anymore.

While nothing sounds remotely good (aside from ramen, of course), V8 is actually something that *almost* sounds good to me (and darnit, if something *almost* sounds good at this point, I'm going to stomach it!). I've been drinking it almost like it's going out of style. I'm sure the sodium content is not the best, but I figure it's better than some craving for Wild Cherry Pepsi (like with K). Plus, since I can't seem to eat much else, at least my veggie intake isn't suffering terribly.

I definately hear you on the carbs. Pasta is really the only thing that is tolerable to me right now, whether in the form of spaghetti, ramen, or soup. But I'm trying to up my protein intake; so hopefully chicken and beef (and all the alternative sources!) will start to look good again soon.
