Considering a clothesline...

...and I just have these questions!

With indoor clotheslines, does the room have to be heated? We only have room for one in the garage, which is not heated.

And with an outdoor clothesline, are birds, bugs and squirrels a problem?

People used to hang clothes outside in the dead of winter (and bring them in stiff as a board!) so I wouldn't think a heated room would be a necessity. My mom has lines strung up in her basement laundry area and it isn't heated and works fine.

Outside? I've been doing my own laundry (and hanging it outside) since I was about 10 and I can recall a bird, ummmm....PROBLEM.... :LOL once. I have to pick Japanese beatles off the clothes once in awhile too, but nothing permanent (besides that ONE time).
