Any other Radiohead fans out there??

2 new songs can be heard here!

The quality is pretty poor, but for a serious fan this is quite a find.

I'm not sure what I think of the songs yet. I remember hearing Hail to the Thief in a format like this one and not really liking it. But now I that album. Their new stuff always takes a while to grow on me.

Hopefully someone else on MDC will appreciate this.

My dh will, I'm sending the link to him!

Ohhhh. Dh and I are HUGE Radiohead fans. I, however, have vowed to not listen to any of their new stuff before it is released so I can get the highest possible quality the first time I hear it. Yeah, I'm a freak like that. I'll never forget how awesome it was hearing the opening chords of Everything in it's Right Place at 12:15am the day Kid A was released! I wouldn't mind a description of what the new songs sound like though!

I'm a cheater & proud of it.

I don't really have an opinion on the songs at the moment. Sung by Thom (duh) on an acoustic guitar. Kind of hard to make out. The second song, Last Flowers, was better than the first, IMO. But it was slower & darker & that's kind of where my mood is at the moment.

I'm sure once Johnny works his magic with the songs, they'll be very good. I Johnny Greenwood.

Johnny is indeed amazing. Unbelievably talented.

Happy cheating!

BTW: Have you had the opportunity to catch them live?

Yes, I've seen them live twice--once in 2001 & once when I was very pregnant in 2003. They're awesome live. Have you seen them? I could definitely see myself selling everything, uprooting my family and following them around like a family of Deadheads if they toured all the time. Dp is also a huge fan, so I'm sure I could convince him to do it.

Awesome! Yep. I've seen them live 3 times. At the Tibetan Freedom Concert in '98, the 2001 tour ( I was pregnant for that one!), and the 2003 tour (dd's first Radiohead show and I was almost pregnant for that one!). My dh saw all of those shows and was also lucky enough to catch a show in an initmate setting in Toronto in 2000. We'd be joining you on the road if they toured all the time! They are truly unbelieveable live. Listening to their cds you wonder how they'd pull it off, but they do.

I would love to have seen them at the Tibetan Freedom Concert! I remember reading a magazine special about that.

Doodlebugsmom, I've always been slightly freaked out by your name!... Why did you pick it?

Another fan here- dh and dd as well! I'll check out the link. Saw them live twice- once at the Greek Theatre- one of the BEST live shows I have ever been to and then again at the Hollywood bowl which was good but disappointing after the Greek show of a lifetime.

Something in their music reaches a deep part of me. There are actually times that it is too painful to listen to music- creepy eh? What can I say- I am totally affected by certian music and get really obsessed with the stuff I like!

Doodlebug is a nickname for my dd!

Yeah, I thought about it after I posted & realised it was actually probably a cute nickname.... Uh, doodlebugs were a kind of motorised bomb that the Germans used to bomb England in WWII. Which was why I was wondering :LOL

But it does make a cute nickname!
