My birth at Special Beginnings was the most positive experience of my life. I had some complications- water breaking 3 days before ctx with light meconium, but it was treated with...
My mom gave me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Gorgeous illustrations and very sweet ideas inside. Plus it's just structured enough so that I can be creative about what I include...
This is the prettiest carrier, and fit my shoulders and figure (at 5'6") much better than the Ergo. I got it when my daughter was about nine months, two years ago - it doesn't appear to have...
This potty is great - excellent value & performance! (plus it's cute!) My 9 month old DS took to it right away. He is a big boy (30 in. tall - feet not quite on floor - & 27 lbs.) and this is...
My ds is 15m and always wants to held. I need a wrap but I can't afford the ones I've been looking at, $30-65.00 I like to make my own with or without the ring. but if you have one you want to sell i'm up for that, too. : thanks
I second going to the Mamatoto site! The wrap I made was from 3 yards of gauze. I ripped 2 20" wide lengths from it, sewed them together end-to-end using a wide french seam, which I then flat-felled with two lines of topstitching. Then I tapered the ends to a point, and hemmed it.
Making it with a center seam uses less fabric, and helps you quickly find the middle of the wrap.
Oh My Goodness. That is fabulous. I wish I had a sling like this wrap when my babies were little.
Fabulous, thanks for sharing this site. I have a friend going to China to pick up her new daughter. I am going to show her this. Does it keep your back from hurting?
Yes, absolutely! I find that it's even better for my back than a one-shoulder type sling, which doesn't really make sense to me, because my old front-pack type baby carrier KILLED my back! But the wrap, I guess, is so easy to adjust to exactly where you need the baby's weight to be that it is very kind to the back. My legs may hurt at the end of the day, but my back hasn't been bothering me at all.
I LOOOOVE this site! Thanks so much for sharing! ds lived in the sling until about a month ago. At the time my back was killing me. Now I wish I could relive it all with a wrap!
