Help with Cloth Types for Pads (for health reasons)

Sorry for the repitition here mommas, I'm in quite a state and a bit unsure about exactly how to go about the switch.

Edited to clarify: Is there not one type of cloth that is better for you than another is? Like Organic Cotton or Hemp or Wool ? I'm a bit confused over which is better and more healthy! I'm not looking for info on the various places to buy the pads or for reviews - I can just read the other threads. I haven't come across one that discusses the "health" enefits of one type of cloth vs. another

"Basically, I would like to know what types of cloth are the best to help stave off carcinogens! Testing has shown that my lil ovaries and possibly cervix are having pre (hopefully pre) cancerous issues - I think that switching to natural all cloth pads will be one of the best possible things I can do for my body now. I gave up tampons for the most part years ago so I'm not totally concerned with the switch to cloth pads! I'm just concerned with the best type of cloth for my "situation" at the moment. Currently I am having a lot of "breakthrough" bleeding that is heavy at times but continues for a while. THANKS!"

God bless you in your precancerous troubles!!!

My guess would be that OC, hemp and wool would all be good choices. OC for the no pesticide issue, hemp is a low pesticide crop and (I believe) has some antimicrobial properties (and since it's sustainable farmed gets rid of some of the environmental pollutants that may be contributing in some small way to your health scare). Wool is breathable and, though difficult to find, can also be organic. I'd avoid any bleached or dyed products and my guess is synthetic fabrics (fleece, PUL) are best left untouched if your concern is most natural.

Good luck!!

I agree with the pp. Your best bet would be wool for the bottom, hemp for the middle and any of them for the top.
