nervous to birth again

Hi - I have been lurking for the past 8 months. I am due with my second child the first week of May. I am feeling SO nervous to give birth again. Anyone else? My first was a good experience overall. Three hour labor but I pushed for 5 hours. I know I know - how lucky my labor was so short but I tell you sometimes fast and furious is not so much fun. It was scary because it hit so hard and fast I didn't know what was happening. Now my midwives tell me my second could be shorter??? I am terrified. I know I can do it but I am scared it will be so fast this time I won't even make it to the birthing center. Luckily I am only about 10 minutes away so really it should not be a problem. I just needed to vent. Thanks for listening.

I am from the August boards, but saw that oyu are from VT. What part? Are you going to Gifford? I had my ds there.
I hear what you are saying about nervousness. My doula said that most woman are far more nervous the second time around because the first time it was a mystery, the second time they know what is coming!! I know it will be great and I am looking forward to the birth, but I am nervous too.
