I am so glad I did not wean.

My fourth kido is 26 mos old. I have weaned all the other kids at around 3 1/2 yo. I am very tired of nursing though, it's like 11 years or something total..... so.... I had been thinking of weaning her early.......

My dd is very sick with the flu. The only thing she has kept down for 4 days is breastmilk. Anything else she throws up immediately.
Thank God(dess) for extended breastfeeding or she would be in the hospital, dehydrated with an IV in her arm.

GO BOOBIE MILKIES!!!!

I've had a similar situation!
Good for you momma! Hey, you've been nursing for a long time...but one day you will look back and wish you could do it just one more time!

Breastmilk is the Best for sick babies and kids, and just the comfort of nursing is so wonderful! Once the whole family was sick with a stomach virus. I just spent 2 days in bed nursing my 18 month old. So good for him and relaxing for me!

Had the same experience last week with a high fever. KNOW she would have been dehydrated w/o the mama juice, my mom saw some EBM that had separated in our fridge and now she'll tell anyone who listens that it is SO high in water (90%) that babes don't need extra fluids when sick! What a budding lactivist!

Hugs and healing vibes your way.
