Have ? about ortro tri cyclene low

Last week I was watching my brothers children (that would make seven kids, 5 under 5 ) In the middle of a very choatic morning I grabbed my pills and took one. A short while later I relizd that I had taken the first one in my new pack instead of the first non hormal pill. I called the dr and he said continue on the new pack. I started my cycle and have not stopped yet. It will stop and start stop and start. Did I do a really big screw up? Could I get pg eaisly? I am now finishing the first week on the pack when I actually should be just starting the first week. Can you help me I am really worried about coverage. I can not use any back up with a spermacide as that seems to cause uti's and or yeast for me. What should I do any idaels? Thank you.

Hi! I was on the pill for two years. (1 yr of that with ortho tri-cyclin low). I'm almost certain that you're just fine if you skip the last week (non-hormonal pills) and start a new pack. You won't get normal bleeding, but as long as you don't skip a day, I'm pretty sure you won't get PG.

I'm not sure what you mean about stopping and starting and stopping and starting, maybe someone else knows??

Also, if your dr told you to keep taking the pack, s/he's probably right and if you have questions about what's happening, you should probably call them back.

I'm sure it's fine

I have been taking the pill forever and I'm sure it is fine, in fact the newest pill on the market lets you only have 4 periods a year, basically you skip the non hormone pills the other 9 months,hope that helps put away your concern

what I was wondering was did anyone have a cycle that would start then stop for say half a day then start back up again? That is what is happening right now and tonight I am suppossed to start on the beginning of the second week. Could I have a cycle that lasted like that for a month or so since I went straight from the last hormaone pill to the beginning of the new pack without doing the non hormaone pills for a week?
