Making dipes for someone else

Is it ok to make dipes from a pattern for someone else if their paying for the materials? I want to make a stash for my sister, but she'd buy all the materials. I wouldn't be making any money off of them, but I want to make sure this is an ok thing and I wouldn't be doing something illegal or unethical by using someone else's design.

Thanks for any input.

legally thats fine the onl "illegal" thing would be to steal someones pattern and make it. course many people do but however it is VERY illegal to trace someones diaper and then sell it. but thats not what your doing imo

Ive read that its OK to "give away" the diapers as gifts but not for money. So IM sure your fine!

You're not selling them, but rather "gifting" your time & sewing expertise. You're perfectly within your rights to use anyone's sewing patterns for that purpose.

Thank you everyone. Oh, goody! Now I can play with all kinds of stuff, and make a lot of diapers. I hope I don't end up liking them so much I want to keep them! I can't wait to get started.
