Possible to dye already made soakers with Koolaid?

Hi mamas! My aunt knitted a bunch of soakers for my impending arrival and I'm wondering if it is possible to dye them with koolaid. Using the methods in the archives, won't they shrink (because of the heat)? Is there another way?

Thanks!

Wool shrinks or fulls or felts when there is agitation or a sudden change in temperature. If you don't use heat, the dye won't set properly. Your soakers will be fine following the directions in the archive.

I just dyed a wooly pullie and some picklepants. Neither shrunk at all. I just let them cool down slowly. Have fun. You can read lots of threads about it on the crafts forum.

I just dyed 6 of my soakers with great success. I have a question though; my Lemon-Lime Koolaid soaker turned out pretty much neon green. If I used more packets would I get a darker green or is this just the colour that this flavour creates? It looks different from the examples online to me, but maybe that is just my monitor?
