Whar size snaps do you use?

What is the most versatile die set to buy with a snap press? I want to put snaps on diapers and mama cloth and I have no idea what size snaps to get.
TIA for any suggestions!

I just bought a snap press and was advised by some cd sewing friends that size 20 was the best for dipes

Yep, size 20. I use 16's for pads, but if I didn't have them on hand, 20's would work.

I want a snap press so bad! Every time I think I find the money to get one something else comes up that I need to spend it on. Now we're buying a house and I don't know if we'll have the extra money for awhile. I really want to put snaps on the newborn diapers and post partum pads I'm making.

Just send them to me, I have size 16's which are right for newborns and pads. I won't charge you anything unless you want pay for the snaps and shipping - my time is definitely free and if you can't afford to pay the above then it's all free!

I just got a snap press (THANK YOU tax returns!) and got dies for both size 18 and 20 snaps. I've heard 16s are nice on mama cloth and smaller dipes, but I think I'll try the 18s and hopefully they'll work!

I mostly use sz 20 sockets and studs with sz 16 caps. That way I have a stronger, larger snap surface but still can have a smaller cap.

My vote is for 20's

I like that the prong's bigger, so I don't worry about it going through all the layers, etc. I'm trying to keep it simple and just do one size, so I'm going through the rest of my 16s, and then I'll just order 20s from there on out.

My sister just ordered me a snap press! I had told her I wanted one awhile back and out of the blue she decided to buy me an early birthday present (really early, it isn't until the end of August). It should be here Tuesday or Wednseday...I can't believe it! Now I just have to get the die set and snaps!
