Getting the DYE out!

I have a really nice recycled wool jersery cover that I made, it is red and really nice, but I can't seem to get the dye to stop bleeding! It is aggrivating to have pink diapers, and it seems to bother DS a little as well.
I don't want this cover to shrink, but is running gallons of hot water over it the only way to get all the dye from bleeding? I also don't want it to become pink. Any suggestions? TIA

Try soaking it in vin. for about 15 minutes and then place it in a baggie and on/in a glass dish. Put this in the microwave and nuke for about 2 minutes stopping at 15-20 sec. intervals to let steam settle so baggie doesn't pop getting dye all over. Let it sit for awhile as it cools, then gently rinse and wash. If you are still getting a lot of bleeding after the initial rinse and wash it may have been originally dyed with RIT(GASP!) Hopefully not.

If pink diapers are not to your liking for your DS youcould redye them using the kool-aide method which is pretty much redoing the same process as above 'cept for yougotta add the KA
