if I wanted to make covers and put the softer fabric side next to her, and covered the shiny outside with decorative fabric, would that work?

I hope it works b/c I just made some covers like that out of Procare. Actually, I think this is what many cover patterns call for. The bumpy covers look like this.

Thanks! It's funny all the covers I've bought from wahm's the shiny side is against the baby. I guess that comes in handier so you can use it more times, but I think I prefer to wash it more often.. and since I'm making them anyway it's not a big deal to make more. I'm not claiming this as an original thought btw.. just modeling my covers after bummis but I need a higher rise.
