Lack of BH?

Everyone seems to be talking about BH and how they have had them for some time or are starting to get them. I have not had ONE. I'm serious...there has been nothing in that department go on with me. Does everyone not get them? I want to get something!!!!! I feel left out!!! :LOL Seriously though, is it normal not to have them? Does this mean my body won't start contractions on it's own? What's the dealio?

I haven't felt any BH contractions so far. I'm 35w4d.
I don't think having Bh indicates your body's ability to go into labor and I am not worried about not having any at all.

It's your first pregnancy, it is normal to not feel them. With my first I didn't feel them until I was 38weeks and I didn't knwo that's what they were. The nurse asked if I had and and I told her I didn't think so but that i had some very minor(hardly noticeable) pressure right at the pubic hair line, she said that was bh's. I had my dd 9days later. I made up for it in my future pregnancies and I started feeling them at 12/14weeks.

Hi! I'm not in the May group, but I saw this question and wanted to respond. With DD#1 I didn't feel any BH at all... aparently that's very common... I still went into labor on my own at 38 weeks and had a wonderful labor and birth... only 7 hours! So just be thankful you aren't being annoyed by them!

I didn't have them the first time, either. Maybe a couple right at the very end.

Never noticed them the first time around but my midwife assured me that they were happening and i just didn't notice. Not to worry.
