Now that we are at last weeks, I am curious if anyone is taking as many supplements as I am. Is anyone taking more?? I feel like a supplement queen!

1 Multi Vitamin daily
4 caps of acidophlus
4 caps alfalfa
6 mil of Goats Rue Tincture
2 caps EPO
Metamucil

Well now that I write it all down, it does not seem like much. But when I swallow it all, it does!!!! LOL!

I'm taking:
- prenatals
- vitamin C
- vitamin E
- fish oil (Carlson's brand)

I will also start taking a "green mix" of spirulina with a bunch of other stuff (it is custom mixed by another local midwife who is also a herbalist) because I had a huge drop in hemoglobin levels from the beginning of my pregnancy (about 3.5 points). the number was still within a normal range, but the huge drop had her concerned. she also thought my blood was a bit thin.

I have considered taking probiotics as well.

I feel like I'm taking too much. Usually I take on the approach of only taking stuff if I really have to.

I take on a daily basis:
6 Rainbow Prenatals
9 Alfalfas
15-20 Garlic Tablets
3 Garden of Life Primal Defense Probiotics

If DS or DH are feeling under the weather I take 2 glasses of Emergen- C Vitamin C supplement. I am about to start taking Wise Woman Herbals Woman's Elixar for end of pregnancy stuff. I take papya enzyme when I have heart burn and I took a bunch of Omega's & DHA stuff at the beginning of pregnancy.

I also try to drink 2-4 cups of RRLT on a daily basis.

Man, I'm really lacking!!!!

I don't take anything. I was taking a prenatal but it wasn't working with my body. Besides that with the way we eat it equals out to about three times the amount of vitamins on certain ones and double on the rest. I can handle that for about a week and then by body starts taking a nosedive. I hate it! THere are some great vitamins that I've taken before but only being able to use them for a week at a time defeats the purpose. About the time I am feeling good from them I have to quit. I'm a freak!

I started feeling like the supplement queen a couple of weeks ago, after I found out my iron was still low. I don't usually supplement with anything, so this feels like a lot for me. I try to take each day:

2-3 gummy children's vitamins (those are the easy ones to take)
Floradix 2x per day (for iron)
Chrolophyll, 1 Tbs in water
Garlic tablet
Probiotic
Vitamin C with Echinacea (a few times per week)
Pregnancy tea

I'll probably continue with the Floradix after pregnancy as well, since I tend to be a bit anemic. I didn't know such a great iron supplement existed until a couple of weeks ago.

One prenatal tablet (which is a half dose for this brand) most days of the week
calcium citrate 200-400 mg/day, on days when I don't get enough in my diet
EPO but only 500 mg/day
One probiotic tab --will increase to two/day closer to due date as I will be
getting penicillin for GBS during labor
fish oil a few times per week, when I don't eat any salmon or sardines

My MW gave me a homeopathic labor prep to take if I want to, but I haven't started it and don't know if I will.

I did not take a full dose of prenatals or any of these other supplements (except fish oil) through the whole pregnancy until last week. My diet has not been as good lately as I don't have much appetite and have trouble getting the vegetables in, so I feel like I need the vitamins.

wow! I take my prenatal and an iron supplement. Otherwise I have a really good diet that takes care of the rest.

While TTC I drank 2-3 cups of RRL tea everyday, once we got pregnant I stopped. Now that I am in my third trimester (32 weeks) I would like to start taking it again, but this time in capsule form. The brand I am looking at says a "serving size" is 2 345mg capsule. How often should this be taken?

One prenatal in the am, one in the pm
Floradix (iron & herbs blend) once a day, or twice when I remember!

That's it, folks. I have noticed that my eating pattern has changed though. Now I'm eating breakfast and a big lunch, but not really interested in dinner (which is why I keep forgetting the floradix at night). However, I have not been skipping dessert :
