mama with chest cold

Ok mommies I have a chest cold feels like its gonna be a good one. Help me with ways to NOT give this to my sweet chaela. Every since she had whooping cough I fear her getting a cough this one i have hurts my throat like the dickens when i cough. any advice? the house dont shut down when mommy is sick

well, when I get a chest cold I take eucalyptus baths, use homeopathic chest rubs, drink mullein tea & keep away from dairy and wheat (to minimize mucous.) Zinc and vitamin C help (especially Emergen-C.) Echinacea is good prevention (but I've heard once you've got the cold it's not effective)--how old is your daughter? I give mine echinacea vitamins that are like gummi bears--two weeks on, two weeks off. Or you can get it in liquid. DD never gets sick (knock wood.) Hope you feel better, and that she stays healthy!

My sweet one is 22 mo she has all around been very healthy. It was the weirdest thing I ate dinner lst night and with in min I could feel the chest cold coming and my throat hurts now from coughing UGGH.
We were out side yesterday waiting for a train we were taking a 4 hour train ride it was very chilly and brisk outside and I think this added to my situation. We have been doing c and oil of organo and I drink herbal teas. thanks for replying
