-GBS but baby back to breech!

I was so excited to hear that I tested negative for GBS, but then we realized that the baby had turned back around and was breech. I'm at 36+ weeks now and I'm going back in on Monday for another ultrasound to see if it's moved. If not, I will need to go to the affiliated hospital (I'm going to a birthing center) to get the baby turned. I'm going to my accupuncturist tomorrow to see if he can help. Luckily, if the baby doesn't turn at all, there are a couple of doctors at the hospital who will consider a vaginal breech delivery, but I am so nervous now. I see c-section as a real possibility and never thought I would. Maybe I'm jumping the gun, but I'm scared! They also said that turning the baby could trigger labor, so it's possible to have the baby next week! It's just too much. I think I needed to write it all out to make me feel a little better. Any advice would be great. Thanks!

Don't have any experience with a breech baby, but I thought I'd post that the spinning babies site has some positions for helping a breech baby turn: http://www.spinningbabies.com/pregnancy.html and that I've heard that a chiropractor performing the webster technique can also help (but I've never had it done, so I don't know anything else about it).

One good thing to consider is that if the baby turned breech recently, there is probably still be plenty of room in there for him/her to turn back! Good luck!

I'll keep you in my thoughts- I hope the baby turns back!!! Some babies even turn in labor. Definitely try the spinning babies. I did that because I had a foot first breech baby this time and he turned.

I am a chiropractor, and I do know the Webster technique. It is a simple painless extremely safe technique that has a high success rate. Spinningbabies.com is a great website and also talks about Webster.

It's not too late to try chiropractic! It is certainly worth the try, especially when you face the risk of birth trauma through C-section and all the other complications/risks that come with it.

PM me if you would like help finding somebody in your area!

Good luck, and I'll keep you in my prayers.

Webster is certainly worth trying, although it didn't work for me... I also had an acupuncturist do moxibustion.

It's true that a recently-turned baby is one who (a) can get into the proper position (not hung up on the cord or anything, and (b) still has room to do so.

My mw's backup ob was VERY laid back at the consult I had with him - seemed quite confident that my stubborn little one would probably wait until labor, but would turn then with no problem.

We'll find out very soon, I think...
