Are there any Waldorf-style homeschool materials?

Just wondering if there were any homeschool materials that were similar in educational philosophy to the Waldorf method.

In my opinion the best are from Donna Simmons at http://www.christopherushomeschool.org

She waldorf homeschools and the overview is written for waldorf homeschoolers specifically and she has some great unit/main lesson studies.

waldorfbooks.com has alot of materials,some homeschool specific and some actual guides used in waldorf schools.Rudolf Steiner colledge would be another good place to look.Also AWASNA.

I notice I learned more from ONE PAGE except in Simmon's book than I did in volumes of other stuff that was on the market in the 80's.

I'm very excited, I will def. check out their website. Waldorf "style " has been very difficult to get as a self taught self learner, not a waldorf teacher, never studied anthroposophy enough to own the information, and be able to apply it like I would like.

There is also Enki Education, very similar to Waldorf education in feel, but very different in that it incorporates multiculturalism, instead of working strictly from anthroposophy and it's view of the development of human evolution, which works better for some. Try http://www.enkieducation.org, many people really enjoy this approach, though it's not yet available for all grades.

Of course, Donna is a wonderfu lady at Christopherus, you can't go wrong there!

I have four of Donna's books. I also have two Oak Meadow books. Donna's books are very affordable and the content is incredible. Donna also offers a lot of experience as a Wadorf teacher, parent, and homeschooler. Oak Meadow is overpriced and you'll get a lot more info from Donna's materials.

Just to fill out this list I wanted to add the following as well as second Donna Simmons excellent materials (check out her Yahoo group Waldorf at Home):

Path of Discovery by Eric Fairman (simple and concise yearly plans)

The Spiritual Syllabus Series by Alan Whitehead (quirky, esoteric inspirations from an Aussie master waldorf teacher)

Barbara Dewey's Waldorf Without Walls

Live Ed! (an expensive but beautiful and true to Waldorf yearly curriculum with separate books for each block and a consultation package)

Kytka Jezek's site waldorfhomeschoolers.com

waldorfresources.com has a good reviews section

That's all I can think of off the top of my head... the various waldorf homeschooler yahoo groups have been the best resources for ideas and inspiration for me... Enjoy!
