Metal Snaps on Wool?

I'm thinking about getting the SnapSource snap setter to use for clothes and mama-cloth. But I am totally in love with the WIOs w/ the mini diaper that Jessica has one her Sew Diapers website. So, is it okay to use metal snaps on wool?

Absolutely. In fact it's better. Metal snaps are the BEST snaps for any type of knit fabric because the multi prongs hold on better & you won't get the button holing effect you can get with single prong plastic snaps.

I love metal snaps for diaper covers, mama pads, and children's clothes. I do not like them on fitted diapers because I have found that after a 4-6 months of continuous use they start to fall off from the prongs breaking. I never had that problem with any of the covers that I have made though and they have been in use for 2 years now.

Are you using the Snap Source metal snaps? I have fitteds with their snaps that are over three years old and I've never had one break.
