My ds will be one next week! He just got his 2 top teeth in and I know he's biting b/c he's teething but he's biting my arms, my breast, anything. It hurts soooo badly! I screamed the 1st few times- only b/c it scared me and hurt. He freaked out. I felt so terrible. How do I curve him from this? Those little teeth hurt!!!!!

I am curious to hear other's responces to this. Luckily DS isn't much of a bitter. He doesn't bit body parts but when excited or playing he sometimes bites my clothes which sometimes catches a bit of flesh. He doesn't bite other kids, luckily.

However, there is a little boy who is 1 - 2 months younger than DS, but equal in size (DS is 17 months). We went to this friends house and whenever her son would get in the same room with DS he would get behind DS, push him down, then bite him or pull his hair. It was definitly a visious attack. This boy has 2 older VERY spirited sisters (age 3 and 2), with a sibling on the way. This pour mother is at the end of her rope and doesn't know what to do about the biting. He has biten at least 2 other kids, left a huge bruise, as well as bit DS in the past, leaving a bruise. She keeps saying "I don't know what to do about it other than not let him be near other children". I would love to have some advise to give her when the subject comes up again.

When my ds was that age and started biting me, I had great results by saying "Kiss mama" everytime he came near me w the chomping face on.
Good luck.
