Just wanted to mention, in case someone doesn't know, that with the EPO you are only to take it to ovulation and then wait until bleeding to start taking it again.
Actually, I talked to my midwife about that, and she said that I could take it the whole cycle, and I could take a lot more than the standard dosage, like 3x as much. She is a lay midwife with 30 years experience, and I trust her. So I've been taking it the whole cycle with no ill effects (except not being pregnant...but I doubt that's the EPO's fault)

LOL, good to know, there are always differing opinions on herbs between docs and other providers.

can i join you all?

we're trying for #2 - i don't chart or temp, but i'm pretty certain about O based on CM & cervix changes. i had a m/c in november, and we "stopped preventing" two cycles ago, which ended up being a short (3 week) cycle. last cycle, i was so totally convinced i was pg - metal mouth, sudden hunger, mega-fatigue in the early afternoons, sudden dizziness and massive peanut butter cravings, but all tests were neg. AF arrived 5 days late with a vengeance. i got pretty depressed.

now, i think we just hit another short cycle, and the timing was right, so once again, i guess we belong in the "hoping for a +" category?

anyway, was that way more than you wanted to know? (i have a tendency to do that. ) i just wanted to sign in and say "HI!"

Well it is cd 15 and we are right in the thick of things so please :
for us! I had ewcm yesterday and have had some ov pains. Anyway, hope I O and catch the egg. I'm woried because dd has been nursing constantly and I know that sometimes messes things up, right? I don't chart temp, but tomorrow is the big O day so I'll be switching to waiting to see soon.

waiting to be ready please

CD 1 (at 11dpo) and got my progesterone results back yesterday.

4.5 at 5dpo. Pretty dang low. Really, freakishly low. I'm angry at my ob, who claims it is "normal" (she has no clue) and made an appt. with a RE for next month. We are taking this cycle off because I can't handle the disappointment until we have some kind of plan, and I won't see the new doc until after this next cycle.

We will have been trying for a year next month. I am feeling pretty depressed.

Hi!
I'd like to join in if that is OK.
My name is Angie & I have a 14 month old son Tyler.
Dh and I have been trying for 3 months, ever since I decided not to return to work.
It is taking a little longer than we expected, but there you go!
I'm in the 2ww phase at the moment.
Fingers tightly crossed.

Well I guess I might be in the 2WW category now. It's really hard to tell. I was not temping faithfully this cycle and I around my normal O time (although a bit early) and have a killer cold so I'm feverish. My CM acts like I have O'd but it would be dang early. If I did just O then we timed things right. Of course I might not have two. My cycles have been so screwy and we aren't even nursing that much. Last one was 23 days, before that 27 days. They always been between 28 and 29 days my whole life. So this is weird. But we will see in the next two weeks! I'm not holding out a lot of hope.

Hey Ladies,

I just got a . YAY YAY YAY.

I had an IUD out in March and in doing so they told me I had PCOS. I was really worried that it was going to take us a while, but here we are!

Here's hoping my milk sticks around for a while for ds.

OhMel: CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
Will I ever ovulate? It is cd 19 and not yet although I could have swore I would have been days ago. Hoping it is just around the corner. Eager for more + news!

Reboot

Back to waiting to O. But I knew that this wasn't my month. Good news is I didn't spot as early as I had been, so maybe my LP is at least decent.

Hugs to those who need it. Congrats to the BFP and lots of dust and luck to the rest of us.

Heck if I know

I'm on cycle day 20. I don't temp, just watch the cm. I had ewcm on cycle day 8, bd'd, and then had weird brownish cm stuff on day 18, and now I've got ewcm again. I don't know what to think or when to test. But I'm really hopeful that this means I'm getting more fertile at least. if anyone has any insight please share it with me.

Well, today's my BIG O DAY! We hope! I'm just trying to cover the week. DH is waiting for me as I type :LOL ! Sorry to hear your disappointment sleepymama, I know you must be frustrated. This is the 2nd month of really trying so I'm still at the "let's have fun, but be serious mode." I don't want to get too hopeful since my dd still nurses a good bit. Anyho, congrats to OhMEL and I'm off to catch a egg...or get caught..whatever! :LOL

new here, with a question...

hello all...this is the month dh and i had decided to start trying....my cycle returned to normal (thank God) when my ds was only 6 months old, despite the fact that he is a nursing machine and still is at 33 months!!! (also thank God)...anyway, i don't chart, but do pay attention to my CM.....anyway, here is my question....my CM was fertile in april, and we continued to use protection as we were waiting till may.....CM stopped after a few days....a week or so went by....and it came back.....now AF should have showed up yesterday at the latest...but nothing....i am crampy, but not consistantly...no breast changes or tenderness....extra hungry and a little light headed....what is going on??? was this second round of CM something that can happen in early pregnancy.....or is my cycle just deciding to laugh at me now that we are ready to start trying??????????
Karin- Yes that second round of CM can happen when you are pregnant. It happend to my best friend, she actually got a + test result while still having the EWCM, and is now holding a 3 day old baby. However, it could also be you didn't ovulate until the second time you had fertile CM. If I were you, I would figure out how long its been since the second fertile CM time and guess that you should get a period about 14 days after that. But it never hurts to take a hpt if you are wondering.

Really Frustrated

Still waiting for o or so I think. Looks like for the 2nd month in a row I may have a stairstep or slow temp rise. Does anyone else have this? I thought last month would have been a fluke following the blighted ovum, but now it appears to be happening again or so I think. In all my years of charting, I have never had charts like these...why now? Is it a sign that my body has decided not to cooperate since I obviously want to keep on ttc after 3 losses? I was going to try progesterone cream after o this month (was actually going to do it last month), but I can't seem to find it. Just feeling very sad....Thanks for listening!

Please put me in the 2WW

Daniele (Tomsgirl) 19 month DD

Big congrats to WitchyMama2, MuhajibahMama, EllasMummy & OhMel!

bemommy - According to TCOYF, spotting does not count as your period. You should include those days in your LP.

doulanichole - So good to see you here. I'll be back more often as well, I suspect. Do you have charts we can look at? I'm fairly adept at spotting what you're talking about.

Sleepymama - Big hugs to you, hon. I'm sorry you're not getting better help from your OB. A year is a long time, so I can understand your frustration. Have you been charting for the full year? You might want to take your charts to the RE, along with the section from TCOYF that is for providers. Let us know how it goes.

martinshockeymom - TCOYF talks about a 2nd surge of estrogen that can cause creamy cm about a week after O. There is also mention of what appears to be ewcm right before AF - it's actually the lining of the endometrium disintegrating. HTH!

Update on me:
I'm starting to get kind of sad. I was sure that this would be a short TTC journey, but alas it isn't so. Between my returning fertility and our 2 months of no bding, it's starting to seem like I'll never conceive. I'm reading through my TTC books again to get inspired, and I believe my fertility is pretty much back. I've had the world's worst PMS, and seriously don't think I'm PG (I'm not temping right now). I can't wait until this stupid cycle is over. I'm right there with all you gals in similar frustrating circumstances.

started taking a 5 day cycle of Progesterone this morning to help "encourage " my body to start cycling again. I would have liked to have found a more natural way to get things started again, but dropping feedings didn't work, and I get headaches when I take VItex. I started trying for #2 when #1 was 2, Max won't be 2 until october, so I am a little bit more impatient this time around.

Informal "poll" are you planning on weaning during pregnancy or tandem.

The first time around I tried tandem nursing for two or three months, didn't work out and I weaned my older son. It was hard to do it that way. I want to nurse max until he is 2, but I also want to try to wean him before having a third.

Tough choices. There is a definite benefit to having kids younger, I will be 33 this summer and I hear the tick tock that I don't think I would have felt at 23
