My first Very Baby wrap - does this look right to you?

I've managed to get to size Large with my DS without being tempted to make my own diapers... But now a friend asked me to make her some cute covers in different prints, so I'm stuck. I am sooooo gonna get sucked in.

This is using the Very Baby wrap pattern, with blue PUL and a Pottery Barn print on the outside (leftover from my son's curtains! ) I didn't put the laundry tabs on, I want her to tell me what she thinks first.

I'm not sure if the FOE is gathered enough though. The pattern says 'gently', but once it's done it doesn't look terribly gathered at all... I dunno.

That looks great! I have no idea if it's gathered enough, FOE and I don't get along :LOL

Looks good! It looks like you could pull tighter in the back as I dont see any gathering there, but its hard to see. Here is a tip, sew your two layers of pul together first using a straight stitch close to the fabric edge. That way when you go to apply your FOE, the two layers wont slip around

I pull about 3/4 maximum stretch through legs, and back waist and that's the result I get.

I'm too new to this diaper making game to know ANYTHING about FOE but the diaper looks great! I love the fabric!

You could probably pull the FOE a tiny bit tighter, but it might be okay if the baby has chubby thighs Good job!

I think you confirmed my suspicion that the elastic isn't quite gathered enough, unfortunately we haven't met this baby yet so I don't know if she will be chunky of thigh. I've ordered more PUL and FOE, though, and I have most of the summer to work on perfecting my covers.
