I have not found a pattern. I am going to try to modify a dishcloth pattern to be skinnier and have wings.

can any of you crochet?
I can't.
I can. I was thinking about trying to crochet some mama pads instead of knitting them because I know how to crochet better. Maybe after I get an idea of the way I want them I'll switch to knitting some.

I have the next week off so I'll be doing a lot of knitting and crocheting. I'll let you all know what I come up with (I'll be at my mom's and she doesn't have internet . No MDC for a whole week! Whatever will I do?)

Ok, I did the cotton part this weekend. But, I am not satisfied. It needs work. I will let you know when I have a pattern ready.

I'm resurrecting this because I was just wondering about this myself!

I knit a pair of mittens and felted them yesterday. They're laying on a towel drying and tonight, I picked them up and thought hmmm... this would make nice pads.

So just knit a rectangle? If it's long enough it will stay put?

What about just the felted wool? The stuff I used is super soft so I was wondering if it would be ok. Is that enough?

Thoughts?

I'd love to know if anyone has come up with a pattern as well. I do prefer wings, I've dropped many a pad into the toilet before I bought winged ones.

i second this idea

Well, due to the Period From Hell (second cycle post IUD) I am in desperate need of more pads, pantyliners, anything I can get my hands upon, as my poor abused mooncup is more of a boat these days . I also have some beautiful sheep-printed recycled flannel that needs a home, so I will be endeavouring to make a few over the course of the next few days.
