Yup, the daily visits are a total PITA. I'm glad that you are not experiencing much trouble w/ the rads.

I got a haircut this weekend too! Boy do I get bed head--lots of funky waves & cowlicks (no idea how to spell that word). I love that, "...poking at the top dispiritedly..." What an image.

A new thread is probably a good idea. We definitely need to link to it on this thread if we do it.

I have 3 doc appointments next week--a 3 month check-up with the onc & surgeon & an initial meeting w/ a gyn onc. It was nice to have a couple weeks without co-pays & Drs.' offices.

Well, I've got you beat, neener, neener, neener! I've got rads every day, plus a visit with the rad oncologist, my medical oncologist for Herceptin, and an initial meeting with an opthamologist. Too bad we don't get some kind of awards for all this, huh?

My eyes are still totally wacked out from the Taxotere, which I stopped in August. They run all the time, yet feel dry and itchy. They also seem to be more sensitive, and driving in the bright autumn sun has become painful at times. I'm scared the eye doc is going to want to put tubes in because my tear ducts are probably all scarred. I'm a major chicken when it comes to anybody messing with my eyes.

AuntieM, are you doing any hormonal treatment? I think I'll probably start Tamoxifen after the rads are done.

Whatever happened to this thread...

Today I celebrate my one year survivorship and being NED. I am still on Herceptin and happily wearing a prothesis, but I'm here and loving my little boy more and more every day.

What's everyone else up to?

Hi bubbysmom! I'm doing great! I had my 6 mos. testing a couple weeks ago. I haven't got the results yet but I'm recovering just fine! I'm going to be stronger than I ever was!
Dd is 3 now! I still long to nurse her but she has no interest!
We have a great garden this year! I'm really diggin' it!
My hair is growing fast & I get a terrific bout of bedhead going that I love! Beats the alternative, eh?
