Ashlyn Elisabeth was born Thursday, April 28th, 2005 at 4p.m. She came fast and furious! My water broke at 5:30a.m. but I wasn't having any contractions so after a few hours they started me on a low drip of pit. That, of course, kickstarted things and they turned the pit off. I started dilating slowly but then WHAMO went from 3cm to 9cm in less than 3hrs.! I couldn't believe how fast it went and thought at one point I would split in two! The nurses all kept asking me WHY I didn't want pain meds...silly medical professionals. 
3 pushes later and out she came just as perfect and alert as could be. I then said THIS is why I didn't want pain meds, look at how alert she is!
I am feeling great and am SO happy this pg is over. Now it's time to adjust to having two little ones.
