What is the best pattern for wool shorts/capris?

I'm looking for a sewing pattern. I just got 3 yards of wool. I washed and dried them today. They are all felted and lovely!! I can't wait to make shorts and capris for this summer. I am a novice when it comes to sewing (thats an understatement) Is there an easy pattern out there that I can get that will have a good cut for fitting over diapers?
Thanks!!

Not sure what sizing your looking for but I've always used the Baby Essentials pattern for the wool pants and the Boxers and Bloomers pattern for shorts. To make capris you could just shorten the pants a bit. The sizing is really great over cloth diapers

www.newconceptions.com or we carry them too.

I always use the Kwik Sew "Sewing For...." master pattern books for most baby/kid clothes. I haven't had any trouble with them fitting over diapers. Try looking for a used copy of Sewing for Baby or Sewing for Toddlers - you'll use 'em plenty!

Sorta OT, but where do you find the Kwik Sew books? I know others have mentioned them, but I don't knoe where to look for them. ~Thanks!

Now, back on-topic~I haven't made wool pants or shorts, but I've used the Baby Essentials pattern to make pants ans shorts out of regular material. They were pretty easy to figure out and I'm about as new to sewing as you can get!

I just did a search on Amazon and found some used.

Thanks for all the resources, ladies! I have a friend coming over today to help me figure out how to use my sewing machine :LOL Thats probably the best place for me to start.

Make sure if you're buying one used that you ask the seller if the master patterns are in the book. I purchased one off Amazon and it was missing this. It made the book worthless.

Great books. I use my Kwik Sew for Toddlers at least once a week.

I saw them at Hancock Fabrics, if you have one near you. Full price, of course, but at least you could flip through before ordering online. HTH!
