I grew up w/one sister, but she was much younger, and I spent most of my childhood playing w/the boys in the neighborhood. I've always gotten along better w/boys, had more male friends, etc. I was not, and am not, a "girly girl".
So when I got pg the first time, I wanted a boy. EVERYONE told us we were having a boy (we didn't have a u/s). people dreamed we were having a boy. (I actually had 2 dreams that it was a girl, but I guess I ignored them!) Then we had a girl.
With my current pg, I would have been happy either way, but I admit I leaned slightly toward another girl...despite the fact that I have friends who are close w/their opposite-gender siblings, I felt like they might have a better shot at being close if they were the same gender.
Now that we know #2 is a girl (at least as far as we can see on the u/s), and we are sure we're not having more, I'm kind of sad not to have one of each. But I'm sure I will learn a lot from both of my kids!
