Pics of some fitted diaper I made...

Well...being on bedrest has given me some time to upload pictures to our computer. Since I can't make diapers right now...DH took some pics of a few of the diapers I made before I got put on bedrest...and I wanted to share. It helped me SO much to see the pictures some of you shared of your diaper making adventures, especially seeing the end result of which patterns spawn which diapers, styles and snap/aplix and all that. I hope in some way these pictures can help someone else in a position I was in just a few months ago.

While I have used pretty much every pattern available right now, these pics show some fitteds of the Very Baby Diaper Pattern. I started out using the crossover pattern but after trying out the side snapping pattern (has both options in this particular pattern) I realized I preferred the side snaps. So the pics have three side snap fitteds and one crossover fitted. I have tweaked the pattern a bit on some of these patterns but I will explain each dipe real quick so you know what you are looking at.

1. Baby Blue side snapping Fitted: This diaper was made with a baby blue flannel fabric with stars. It has the newborn snap down for the umbilical cord. The inner is made with a heavy Malden Mills fleece. There are two more layers of sherpa between the flannel and MM fleece. Instead of using snap in doublers, I internalized 2 layers of hemp terry contour. I made a matching soaker out of the blue star flannel/sherpa (not shown).

2. Green Frogs flannel side snapping Fitted: (to the left of #1) This diaper is made just like the first one but it doesn't have the newborn snap down. It has a flannel outer and a MM microfleece inner with two more layers of sherpa between. Instead of internalized hemp terry, I used burley knit terry. This also has a matching soaker (not shown).

3. Green Hawaiian knit Interlock side snapping Fitted: This diaper is made just like the first two except the outer is made with a beautiful stretch interlock. There are three layers of sherpa and then the MM microfleece inner. I internalized an additional contour of hemp terry inside. This diaper has the newborn snap down for the umblical stump.

4. Pink Velour Cross over snapping Fitted: This diaper is made with three layers of sherpa and a very nice and soft velour outer. This diaper has a snap in doubler (not shown).
