Hey Frank.....need to pick your brain

I was looking at DSs foreskin the other day and it appears to me that he *might* have phimosis. I have seen pictures in the past of babys with phimosis and i was wondering if you could link me to them again?

I don't have the link here, but there are two kinds of phimosis. One is GOOD. It's called infantile phimosis and it's supposed to be that way. The normal infant foreskin does NOT RETRACT = phimosis, see?

Pathological phimosis happens years and years later and is caused by forced retraction in the infant and preretractile period. That is BAD.

In other words, I can say with complete confidence that he doesn't have a thing wrong with him, phimosis-wise!

Don't try to pull his foreskin back, even a little bit - it needs to stay right where it is until he fools with it or it comes away on it's own.

His foreskin looks exactly like the second set of pics. I wasnt trying to retract him....he had runny pooped and had some on his penis and i was wiping it off when i noticed that it was like that.

Leigh, there is absolutely zero possibility that your son has pathological phimosis. Pathological phimosis is the result of trauma. That trauma can be physical trauma as results from repeated premature retraction or infectious trauma from repeated infections. Your son is simply not old enough to have had that kind and quantity of trauma. Just relax! he doesn't have phimosis!
