Very sharp pains in cervix...

I think it's my cervix, at least. I get them every once and a while, but on Mother's Day it was terrible. I've been nesting pretty hard core all weekend long, like completely rearranging my house and stuff. I worked really hard on Saturday for like 4 1/2 hours straight and then finally passed out and went to sleep because my back was hurting me so bad (from bending over so much), I couldn't stand to be awake anymore! I woke up Mother's Day and my back was still sore, but nothing unusual. We went downtown for an early dinner and walked up and down window shopping for about 45 minutes. I started to feel a sharp pain in my groin where I would think my cervix is. It hurt with each step I took and just got worse and worse. It hurt more when I stepped with my right foot. It got to the point where I was standing there clinging onto DH because I just couldn't do anything else. It started to down pour and I didn't even want to move. I just stood there in the middle of the sidewalk sort of laughing at myself because it hurt so much to take a step. I could feel that I was having a few light contractions as well, but nothing big. DH helped me walk over to a tree so I could get out of the rain while he went to go get our car. It didn't hurt when I just stood there, only when I walked... I have no clue what it was, but it sure was debilitating. By the time we got home and I got out of the car, I was fine. Any ideas as to what the heck was going on in there?

The pains that I've had in my cervix have all been the baby's head, so my guess is that your babe was grinding her head in such a way as to maybe pinch a nerve or just hitting the muscles in such a way that made the whole thing hurt. Would also explain why it went away if she moved.

i had a lot of what i think were cervix pains with this baby too. it helped me just to think it was my body "warming up" for labor. I noticed it after a lot of walking too.
