Finding New Pediatrician

Our very wonderful nurse practitioner at our clinic has left. Our primary care physician for our son is not wonderful but better then others. We want to find a new pediatrician/family practice dr for our son. He is 3 yrs old. I just called a local practice and managed to freak them out by asking if I can meet or interview the dr. Oh well we never do that, you need to transfer all his medical records to us etc etc. I said well it seems crazy to go through all the trouble and then meet the dr, thinks s/he will not work for us and then have to go through it all again. They are going to speak to the dr and get back to me. So OK all I need some advice on qustions to ask.

Thanks!

How about:

1) How does the Dr feel about delayed (or other options) vaccinations?
2) If you co-sleep, are you going to get a hard time about that?
3) What happens when the Dr goes out of town?
4) What are your after-hours/weekend options?
5) What hospital are they associated with?
6) What steps do they take before resorting to antibiotics?

Good luck!
