Help me make sure I have thought of everything

I have the opportunity to help out an adopted mom by providing pumped bm for her son.

To give a little background he is 8 weeks and has severe reflux issues, they have been purchasing milk from a milk bank but their insurance declined their claim and he is also showing signs of a dairy protein allergy.

I met her at a LLL meeting and having dealt with minor reflux and major dairy and soy protein issues I felt connected and wanted to help.

Essentially I would pump for her son, I know I would have to up my supply (which has never been an issue I am still leaking at 10 months) and to up my intake of calories. But is there anything else I am not thinking through?

She has spoken with a lactation consultant about this and they said I would be an ideal candidate as i am dairy free and I would have a blood test to make sure all is well before I start. She is interested in adopted bfing but has had to put her efforts on hold until her son starts to improve.

Help me make sure I am thinking this all through!

Is this because she has consumed dairy recently? I think what you are doing is awesome. I would suggest directing her to some sites for adopted bf too. She could feed her baby your milk from an SNS attached to her breast to get her milk going, in addition to other methods for bringing on milk supply.
