Who's showing?

It doesn't seem possible to "show" when the baby's the size of a sesame seed... but I swear my pants don't fit right. I had to pin the zipper and button of my suit pants for a funeral yesterday and I'm only 5.5 weeks!

What gives? Anyone else?

I feel like my tummy is sticking out a little. I'm wearing my "sweatpants" and elastic pants because they are nice and loose. I am about 5 weeks too. The funny thing is that I don't even really feel hungry. Are you having any regular symptoms?

I just feel fat. My body is retaining fluid more easily and none of my pants fit anymore. I'll be breaking out the smaller maternity stuff soon enough. I have 9 more months to wear it, so I'm not in a hurry... at least not as much of a hurry as last time.

I am glad I'm not the only one. I've actually lost a couple of pounds, but I have a little pregnant belly. I swear people could tell if they looked closely. I don't really understand it, either, as I've read that the baby itself is less than half an inch long. How to account for the inch and a half or two that my belly is sticking out, I'm not sure. I was in maternity clothes last time by 10 weeks. This time I think it'll be even earlier.

I can't wear any of my regular pants. I've had to switch to larger size more comfortable pants.

Bleh. Yes. I was starving for the past two weeks although I only gained a pound or so (could just as easily be water as fat). Now, it's more of generalized yuckiness. I was hoping to avoid it until 6 weeks like last time but it seems to be hitting earlier.

My tummy is pooching! I have been wearing maternity pants for weeks, but I don't need to wear maternity shirts yet. My brother keeps saying that my tummy is sticking out more, but I just think it is because he knows I am pregnant. he wasn't sayng anything Friday, when I was just as poochy

It is so crazy, I'm 7w,1d, and definitely have a belly! I didn't show til way later with my son, but I was pregnant with twins last year and was showing at 6 wks. I'm wondering if that's bc they were twins or just because it was my 2nd pregnancy? I'd welcome twins this time, but I doubt that's the case. I bought a maternity skirt from oldnavy.com and it's way comfy. I wish I had kept the clothes from before I got pregnant with Jules, as I was a size bigger then, and they'd fit great for a few weeks.

I am so glad its not just me! Yesterday I really struggled with my jeans. It was ok standing up but not at all comfortable sitting down.

I thought it couldnt possibly be because of the baby. I am only 5.5 weeks! But maybe it is.

I doubt I'll be showing for a LOOONG time. This is my first pregnancy, so my uterus is all, "Whaaa" What's going on?" By the second one, it'll know what to do, and be like, "Oh, yeah, I've done this before", and pooch out right away. At least that's how I've heard it works.

I'm already wearing stretchy pants. I have a noticable belly now. Good thing I'm okay with it this time around!! :LOL

With my first pg, I didn't show until about 4mo, even though my waist thickened a little about 3mo. This time, I had a noticeable bump by about 5 weeks!

I think my problems are bloating and gas, ick. I'm not *showing*, but the waistband of my pants is definitely snug. I also have a horribly droopy belly left over from my twins, with seperated stomach muscles and everything, so I'm predicting I'll be showing fairly early this time around. At least with the droopy belly I can get into the comfy maternity pants a little early!

Well, at 6.5 weeks now, I'm "showing" less. I think that a bit of the gas has subsided and it's making everything more comfortable.

I'm wondering if I'll show later or carry lower this time because everything seems so much lower "down there" after already giving birth. Like my cervix and uterus are settled lower into my pelvis than before. Maybe I should Kegel. :

Exactly! I'm not pg but I saw this and had to say that with my second pg I couldn't fit into my shorts by the 6th week. My first pg I didn't wear maternity until well into my 6th month. If I ever get pg again I'll be wearing maternity the night after conception. :LOL

Congrats everyone!

Not at all!

I don't think I'm showing yet, especially since I have a nice fluffly layer of "insulation" , but I feel like maybe I'm starting to be able to feel my tummy a bit. I really wish I was showing, so people could just look at me and know I'm pg! And I wish I could feel the baby so it felt more real!

Not showing here yet, either. I generally don't show much before 20wks...was the same wit both my DD's...I don't tend to gain until after the 20wk mark either, but then I seem to make up for lost time. :LOL

I haven't gained a pound yet, but at 5.5 weeks, the pants that fit me just right before are too tight! I can't wait for a big belly, either, I love it!!!

I swear i gain 10lbs before I even pee on a stick. I have a small frame and last pregnancy I was wearing maternity clothes by my 3rd month. All my pants are tight. I'm bummed because my girlfriend who is 15 weeks with twins has a smaller belly than me!
