Your natural sleep patterns.

I has diagnosed with bipolar almost 10 years ago now. I also have some
slight issues with learning disabilities, that I have never gone for help for.

Now it's 3am and you can see I am up, and wide awake, posting here. I
have very odd sleeping habits and I just wanted to discuss, get feedback
from others on their own sleeping habits.

I seem to do best if I get 9 hours of straight sleep. But in my perfect
world, I would nap often, and not sleep a full night. I get so tired at
around 7-8 pm. Often so tired that I can't think straight, no matter
how much sleep I had the night before. So often I take a nap at this
time, (I live with my parents, and during this time my Dad will read or
watch a movie with dd). Then I wake up around 11-midnight and I am
WIDE awake. I then get tired again around 4am-5am. Then I wake at
9:30 with dd.

Now I can't do this everyday, cause I like spending my late evenings
with dd. She is very high energy and in order for her to wake at 9:30
in the morning (which is my favorite time to get up) she goes to bed
later than most children her age.

So anybody else have weird sleeping patterns?

I had to smile at your post - in sympathy, that is! In an ideal world I would sleep from 9pm to 3 am, stay up until around 7 am then go back to bed until 10 or so..........I have a really hard time staying asleep, especially if there is anything else on my mind. I am taking Lexapro at night as it does have a sedating effect on me.....and with a nursling in my life I count myself lucky to get sleep at all!!!!!

In my ideal world I'd go to bed around 2am and get up... I don't know when. All I know is that I am a night owl. I have had a dreadful time getting up in the morning nearly every single day of my life. It truely takes me a good 2, 3, maybe 4 hourse to be fully awake after getting up. Even after my cup of tea!

I'm pretty sure I have a learning disability.

A week later isn't too late to post is it?!
