Thanks for the offer, Shannon... I have actually offered to pm you for her several times for a second opinion to her trainer, who we've used for years, but for some reason didn't seem to be helping in this instance. He has actually bit her (the dog, not the trainer
), but that's a long story that involves him being put in a bad situation. I don't think we're more than an hour away from you, but she declined the offer because her dh thinks that they've got it under control. I'd think they might be turning a corner, except I don't get why they passed level one obedience if just the other night she had to chase him across several neighbours yards and he wouldn't respond to the recall. It took her over an hour to catch him.
I just don't have the energy to devote to try to help her with two kids of my own, and I'm not qualified for the mess she's created anyhow. I think the dog is nuts, but also just too freakin' smart for them. Especially BIL, who treats him like a baby (and I KNOW that's part of the issue, no alpha leadership).
I will check out what food they're feed him and see what's in it. He's prone to skin allergies also, but I can't remember the last set of advice she was given.
It's just so frustrating to watch this unfold... he's not my dog and she doesn't take advice well from her big sister.

I don't know why she is doing it but I think it is a jealousy thing. She also poops right next to his outside toys. The rest of the time they get along perfectly, but I still catch her doing this stuff. What's going on, and what can I do about it?
