SAHM successes of the day - Page 2

What am I proud of accomplishing today? I got dinner on the table by 6:15 without losing my patience with my toddler or asking dh to take him outside so I could cook in peace. And even better, I wasn't in a pissy mood by the time we sat down to eat!

I took care of both kids all day and evening since dh had a business dinner function. Set up water table outside for toddler. Pulled weeds in garden. Took dd to gymnastics. Only got irritated at toddler twice yesterday, once for pulling cat's tail, once for continually trying to run her toy bus into my plate of food. Got toddler bathed while nursing toddler on my lap. Showered with baby in solarveil sling. Put toddler to bed (I lay down with her til she falls asleep) while baby slept on my stomach. Managaed to call our financial agent to discuss some financial planning for new baby.

I'm proud of all this, since I haven't been sleeping well lately and it's an effort to smile when I'm tired.

Wow--I am inspired. I took the kids to the pet store in the driving rain yesterday to look at the rabbits.
Does that count?
I'd better get on it today, though---power washing that deck really makes me feel guilty for being such a slacker! :LOL :LOL :LOL

Yesterday, I did dishes, ran laundry, and straightened the entire house...um, except for the laundry on the dining room table. :LOL Then I drove to the Amish community to buy some meat at the butcher shop and talk to the lady who baked our wedding cake about making us an anniversary cake. (Although DD had a horrible, "I need a nap" meltdown in front of some Amish men, who seemed quite amused. ) I then pan-fried a couple of the pork chops that I bought and had supper on the table....ON TIME! :LOL

Ok, ok, so I need to set my sights a little higher, but I'm so proud that I actually got out of the house!

Um, today we let our butterflies go that we "grew" from caterpillars. It was so fun!

Yesterday I cleaned the girl's room, my closet, my room, my bathroom, and the main floor.

Who's next???
Oh! We did the butterfly thing a couple of months ago and now we're on to the tadpoles.
