Questions about SPD - I've got it bad

So suddenly my pubic bone separation is really intense and painful. Last night my incredibly sweet DP got me in to see the premiere of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith (!!) and I sat in the chair for 2 1/2 without getting up because I could not stand to miss a moment. (It was AWESOME, by the way. And soooo appreciated since I will definitely not be able to stand in line for a seat next week or thereafter and am due right after thand and am a HUGE Star Wars fan.) Anyway, after that, I hobbled up the aisle to the rest room. Up till then, I had been pretty vigilant about not separating my legs too much to do stuff and it was working OK except for the expected difficulties turning over in and getting out of bed.

Now I feel like someone has kicked me in the crotch. In fact I'm sitting on a hot compress as I type this.

Anyway, my main question is whether I can still do yoga with this condition. I had it during my 1st pregnancy but didn't practice yoga then, just walked on the treadmill. Will yoga poses (whch ones?) exacerbate it? I have been trying to do at least some yoga every day ....

Also, any relief advice would be much appreciated. TIA!

Ok so I am SOOOOO jealous of you! I doubt I will get to see it until it is out on DVD!

As for the pubic bone separation, I just found out that is why I am having so much pain myself, so I can't tell you about yoga, but I would think the physics of yoga moves that don't put weight on that area or stretch it more would be ok. I.e. Cat/Cow which is basically pelvic rocks on your hands and knees would still be ok.

Blessings,
N~

I had it really bad, and the only advice I was given was to try to take as many breaks at work, basically to sit or lie down as much as possible. I am standing all the time at work. Then all of a sudden, a few weeks ago, the pain subsided a lot. I have no idea what happened, but maybe the same thing will happen to you too.
