They probably did!!

That, or they think "breast" is a profanity and any entry mentioning "breast feeding" would be automatically disqualified.

Unless it's "Well, I couldn't breast feed because all that came out was this clear yellowish gunk that had a funny name, so I'm soooooooooo glad my hospital gave me Infamil(tm)!"

And yes, this is catty. So? I'm sick of being told I shouldn't make jokes to blow off steam about the crap formula companies put out there. The minute they become not-for-profit and stop advertising their product as anything other than an "emergency fallback" and support the creation of nationwide breastmilk banking organizations and feeding on cue and real motherbaby non-separation rights, is the minute I'll stop making jokes about them and the people they've brainwashed. There's a big flippin' difference between making jokes to let off steam between like-minded people and being rude to those who are of a different opinion. This is a breastfeeding advocacy board - if there's anywhere safe to let our figurative hair down and just be our witty selves, this is it.

Winner's travel companion must be 18 years of age or older.
This from the fine print, so you can't even take an older child that might enjoy some one on one time with mom. Not that I would willingly leave my under 12 month infant for three days anyway, but I guess an argument could be made for taking your older child on a cool mommy and me get away.

I was just looking at Nestle's, their prize is nice, a personal chef, housekeeper, or personal assistant for a year and a day spa treat. No overnights form your baby and the choice of which year's worth of help you want would actually allow more time with baby. Now that said they still aren't goign to let a breastfeeding momma win, but at least their prize isn't taking mom from baby.

I don't have a problem with joking about it. It doesn't bother me when people make jokes, I have a good sense of humor and I was actualy pretty grossed out reading the ingredient list on a can of formula. There is a difference between making jokes about the contest or even the product then making snide remarks about a persons parenting ability becuase they use formula. That is what bothered me.

Hmmm, maybe they think that a woman who would happily run off for three days without her infant (the rules say babe must be under 12 months) and who would not be breastfeeding may not show the best judgement. The woman who wins could start knocking them back and cost them a fourtune in bar tab?
My SIL left her baby for 3 nights and she doesn't BF (much to my dismay on both choices) but she is a good mom, loves her daughter deeply. I was just surprised to see something so judgemental (though I guess I shouldn't be)
