I posted the other day about having my water broken on Fri. I went into labor naturally on Thurs night! We went to the hosp about 1:30am and my darling, beautiful baby BOY was born at 4:39am! We are sooo happy! His name is Kai Aidan.
The labor was pretty normal, but the pushing part was WAAAAY harder than I remember with my other four children. It turned out that he was turned the wrong way, I think they called it OP at the hosp, or you could say sunny side up. I don't know if the doc could have known this before hand but if I would have known I might have wanted an epidural. I've previously had three babies with a midwife and this birth (the pushing part) was off the scale compared to the others. It seemed to take forever (which was really only about 35-40 min) to push him out. I couldn't figure out at the time why I was not making much pushing progress. I was starting to worry and afterwards my husband told me he was also wondering, but didn't want to say anything out loud to scare me. We are thankful to finally have our baby boy home! If I knew how to post a pic I would. I'm a newbie here, but I wanted to share!
