Scalp Psoriasis and Hair Dye

I believe that I have scalp psoriasis.
I also recently had my hair dyed black and hot pink.
I'm trying to find out which scalp psoriasis treatments won't wash out my hair dye.

I'm currently using Tea Tree Oil after shampooing. I shake the TTO bottle about 10 times into a cup, fill the cup with water, and pour it on my scalp in various high-flake areas. That's working, but I don't know if it will affect the hair dye.

I found a list of "alternative" psoriasis treatments here:
http://www.psoriasis.org/treatment/p...e/topicals.php

They include:

Aloe

Apple Cider Vinegar (which didn't help when I used it during the short period I tried BS/ ACV for my hair pre-dye)

Capsaicin

Emu Oil

Evening Primrose Oil

Oats

Tea Tree Oil (which is working, but does it strip hair dye?)

Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Honey is good for dry scalp as well. Give it a try!

I don't actually have a dry scalp. My scalp is oily. But, psoriasis can be a problem with dry or oily scalps.
I tried honey when I did the BS/ ACV thing, and it didn't make any difference with the flaking.

You might try a good-quality coconut oil and you could add your tto to that. Also, in the future if you dye your hair, you might consider henna or indigo. Check out www.hennaforhair.com
