Hi. I am new to this on line board and the computer world in general although I have been a long time reader/subscriber to Mothering Magazine. I am the mother of a 4 year old boy and a 1 year old girl. Still bf my little girl. I practice ap. We eat almost exclusively all organic and eat well; However, I am curious as to what others do or don't do for daily viatimins for their children. Especially, my 4 year old.

Hi, and welcome to MDC! We're also strictly organic & my 2 yo has a good diet. But I do give her those gummi bear vits you get in the HF store.

Thank you Lee for your reply. I will look into those gummi bear vits. I Enjoyed the pumpkin patch picture. It seems that this forum is a very warm supportive environment. A nice change to what can be a harsh world out there.

You're welcome-and thank you . Yes, this place *is* an oasis, isn't it? I used to live in Jersey, too--Hoboken, and down the shore .

Question about those gummy bear vitamins. I remember growing up that parents were always told not to refer to medicine as candy or make it look like candy - how do you separate "vitamins" and "candy" for your kids if the vitamins look exactly like candy? My daughter gets chewable vitamins (and those aren't too far off from candy either, although they're the "natural" ones) but we have to be vigilant to keep track of who has given them to her because otherwise she keeps asking for more!

Well, she doesn't get candy and knows them as "vitamins"--she's great at reminding me to give them to her. We also talked about them making her strong and keeping her healthy.
