Bo was great. I want him to win. I can see how Satisfaction can be called fluff. It isn't challenging vocally...just a fun party song. But Bo looked hot singing it, sexy!

Vonzell - She smiles way too much. Also, she seems to have trouble singing and dancing at the same time and looks awkward. She reminds me of a really tall child in a beauty contest talent competition. I thought her version of Chain of Fools was really bad. But I know a really great singer who does that song and she is so much better, so that is what I compared her to. Clive was right on about that.

Carrie - Like her, but Shania? Shania is not a great vocalist, she is a performer so that song was an odd choice. Carrie is really good.

I'll miss Vonzell....

I think she's a much better singer than Carrie, and also has some life to her - no traces of Stepford. I can't stand "I Know I'll Never Love That Way Again," though, and she didn't do well with it, but who could? It's really hard to avoid singing it as I KNOW I'll NEVer LOVE that way again, and blasting the same syllables over and over, and she fell right into that trap. Her other two were awesome though - she does soul-infused dance music really well (wait, is that disco?).

Carrie - let's see- what can she do? Every single thing comes out as a power ballad, with her blasting each note (except when she swallowed the first half of the last tune - and what was with the yelp part-way through) - my ears are still ringing.

Bo was excellent. I can't stand Elton John, but I actually enjoyed Bo's first song. The a cappella was a little yelly but nice and brave, too. Gee, do you think he's noticed folks think he's a hottie? All the bedroom eyes and significant glances...way to milk it! Satisfacton was fine. It was fluff, though, in the sense that it was kind of an obvious and not very interesting choice.

OKAY NOW I AM RILED!!! I wrote a huge post on my opinions, hit post and it tells me I am not signed in! BUT I WASSSSSS!!!! :

I watched American Idol for three hours last night....thank goodness for satellite. Just wanted to fully critic the music and be ready for my little Cranberry! :LOL

Well let's start with the least exciting person on the show....Vonzell. She is my pick to leave next week. I like allot about the girl....but I agree with someone who posted before who said she would never buy her CD too many people out there that sound the same.

And then there is Bo.... I was watching the guy last night trying to figure out if I would like him better if he wasn't trying so hard for us all to see that he is a ROCKER!! We GOT IT BO!! Now take off your sunglasses because you are INSIDE, Put down the mike stand and focus on singing!! When he came out to sing his Elton John song he had me for the evening his fly away hair, sun glasses, and that blasted mike stand!!!
I didn't think he did anything exciting for that song...I find his voice pretty monotone.
I will say though that like everyone else I enjoyed his solo. It was a ballsy move because there is no music to cover up any tone mistakes....however when you only have one tone what do you have to hide?
However how could you not enjoy it when the mike stand stayed on the stage, and there were no sunglasses to hide the sexy eyes as he serenaded us Did I just say that??
But then the Rolling Stone song sucked....total bar song! Bang on Simon!

Then there was my Carrie. She did an alright job on "Crying" she does have a very strong voice with lots of range....but yes she does need to work on her stage presence....although I think the weakest of the three in that category is definitely Bo! I really enjoyed thought she did a good job of the Air Stream song....Hated the Shania song though....not her fault though Dumb ass Randy! And did you hear him? "I think Shania was the perfect choice for you Carrie!" COME ON??!?!! Are you DEAF DAWG??? But then again I have an issue with Randy...first off he needs to get an opinon instead of sitting on the fence all the time. And sorry but us honkey white folk just don't get what the dogpound is all about! And you are MUCH too old to still be talking that way!:

My opinion is Vonzee is gone next week....can't say I want Bo to win it all...but I think he will....

My mom was here last night and we watched it together...we agree that Bo RAWKS! Carrie needs to go...still...but I have a feeling it will be Baby V.

Mom pointed out that Bo looks like cousin Ray....okay, cousin Ray is bald NOW, but I guess he was a happening hippie back in the day.

My DH kept flipping to his baseball game so I only saw the 2nd songs, but I love Bo. I liked him back in the earliest rounds, but I fell head over heels when he sang "Time In A Bottle" and said Jim Croce was his favorite singer. I Jim Croce's music! I have always thought AI was kind of a fluffy, bubble-gum competition, but I love that they had rockers this year. My DH was rooting for Niko Smith, but only b/c he's Ozzie Smith's son.

Sounds like my man (he's mine! all mine!) Bo did really well. I wish I could have seen the acapella song, I'll have to settle for the snippet they will run tonight.

I hope Carrie goes, I think Vonzell has a much better voice.

Anyhoo...Bo made Elton proud, I'm sure. He is definitely the most talented out of the three remaining.
I wish he would have done "Gimme Shelter" instead of "Satisfaction" Paula's picks are usually lame, as I recall.

I love Vonzell and would love to see her in the top two..

Carrie needs to go home. Shes good but such a one trick pony. Just the fact that she chose an Air Supply song out of all songs, just proves her musical knowledge is about 10 songs big.

I don't like Vonzell, but her last to song were GOOD.

Carrie has a good voice but ehhh.

Bo should win. I think the only way he'd loss is by people not voting because they think he has enough votes already.
