This thread is way more entertaining than AI.

Did anyone notice that Bo had a little Ray Charles gospel thing going on when he did the song without the band? I've got more respect for him now than ever. He can sing lots of different stuff.

I MISSED the show last night because I had company....couldn't exactly switch the TV on with them....or shove them out the door, although I DID think about it!

But WHOOOOOOOEEEEEEE CARRIE STAYS!!!!!!!

I don't know why you guys don't like her I think she has a very likeable persona and appearance. So if I am the only one that likes the girl I shall have to stand loud and proud!!

Especially because she will not be the American Idol next week....

I love Carrie. I don't expect her to beat Bo, but I'm sure she will make an album anyway - which I intend to buy.

I never really cared for Vonzell

Another Carrie fan here. I think Bo will win though and that's fine by me . I think I'll buy both their albums. Since the beginning they were my two favs.

Im so glad to see some other Carrie fans here! I think she was far better than Vonzell.....and I think the 2 best singers prevailed. You couldnt even get thru the phonelines to vote for them.

Totally agree! Luckily, I have a Cingular phone, so I texted my and DH's votes. One for Bo, one for Carrie. I also will buy both of their albums. I probably won't even vote next week because I don't care which one wins - I love them both!

Well of course you have to move here, it's awesome! CI usually starts within a couple of weeks of AI ending. About 1-1 1/2months ago they were finishing the last of the first rounds.

Canadian Idol has the same producers...but an even CHEESIER host then Ryan Seacrest if that is possible ("Seacrest out!" ) and the judges are not NEAR as entertaining. They all have the same basic characteristics....we have our Paula, Randy and Simon....but they are not as flamboyant as the AI ones....

But isn't it odd that we get broadcasted to watch American Idol but that they don't think you Americans care enough about us little people up here to watch our show??

Yes it is. But you know what I've noticed? Ryan has been getting steadily jerkier over the years. By season 7 he'll be sitting in the judges chairs all by himself "Seacresting out" the contestants one by one.

Cheesy doesn't quite describe Ben, he scares me. I am expecting him to announce his political career o follow his fathers footsteps.

CI starts May 30th.

Big Brother usually starts the 2nd week of July. The CBS site doesn't have a date or any info on BB6 yet.

I can't get my head around those reality shows. I only watch American Idol. Seriously.

I saw one of the producers of AI being interviewed on TV. They are doing a summer series! With plenty of SNARK potential... except it's not a singing competition, it's (get this) a dance competition. Holy boring. But I'll tune in just to see who they get for cheesy, has-been judges. Pauler could do this show, too. She's so dancy. And in her dreams, once, she was a choreographer.

I can't get my brain around the big brother/survivor type shows either. and omg, fear factor? fear is the key word yuck!
