Anyone watching The View?

Yep.

If I ever see Star Jones anywhere (not likely), I will be sure to spray her with breastmilk. :

On a positive note, Elisabeth's boobs look AWESOME!!!

I haven't watched in weeks. But tuned in today to see BW bashing breastfeeding again. I think she need to start believing in 'if you don't have anything nice to say, say nothing at all'. I mean come on, she's in a audience full of new moms. I'm so annoyed right now, I can't even formulate a thought.

I see them. All the time. My office is two blocks from their studio. I've always wanted to NIP in front of them, but have never had the chance. I used to bring DS to this neighborhood for daycare, but I never saw them when I had him in tow. Believe me, I looked for them! :LOL

Would Ms. Walters rather sit next to a screaming infant or a blissful nursing one on the plane?

She is so self absorbed, I don't think that she would notice either.

ETA: I do like that they keep noting that the mama of twins is breastfeeding!

I know this isn't the question, but my answer is:

I would rather sit next to either a screaming infant or a blissful nursing infant, before I would like to sit next to BARBARA WALTERS. Yes, I am serious, I would be glad to hold your screaming baby.

There is are REASONS that Gilda Radner made fun of her!

If I was stuck on an airplane next to BW I would take the opportunity to educate her. I'm not afraid of her 'celebrity power'

Oh, don't you know, Michelle, you CAN'T educate BABA WAWA, she KNOWS everything there is to know and she is an EXPERT...

And Star Jones is always so damned immature when they discuss breastfeeding. She's 40+ years old! Grow the hell up, Star.

I hope that Elisabeth sticks with nursing and doesn't listen to Barbara or Star. Too bad Joy wasn't there today.

You know what, your right. She's so arrogant.

Then add Star Jones to the mix. Well at least their talking about breastfeeding on the show at all. I'm surprised she hasn't banned it.

WOW the veiw isnt on here yet!!! I am gonna watch it today!!! Lets all wrtie her angry mama letters, and tell her that we are all sorry she enver got to feel the power, calmness, the closeness, and every other wonderful thing that is associated with doing the ONE thing for your baby that NO Body else can do.

Does she even have kids?? LOL I was thinking yes, but if she is that selfish I would guess not...
Iam still crying about every other day or so as I TRY to get my 16 month old to nurse....who gave her permission to wean?? LOL

What did she say exactly? Absurd!!!!!!

If Star Jones has a baby (is it mean-spirited of me to say "God forbid"?), you can bet she will FF from Day One and mention the formula company's name as often as possible to get the stuff for free. After all, that's how she paid for her wedding. She's a disgrace. And Baba Wawa is a parody of herself at this point.

Glad to see the smart BC girl is not listening to those two hideous women.

BW has one daughter, adopted.

Star Jones has admitted that if she ever had a child, she would never breastfeed.

I stopped watching the show (not altogether, just 'regularly') when bf was discussed by Star Jones last fall/winter and she talked about it as if it were disgusting. Meredith said that nursing made her fullfilled as a woman , but I just couldn't stand Star any more after her comments, and all of the Carnation Good Start commercials that run during their show. I don't understand women who feel comfy letting all of their cleavage hang out, and then think nursing is innappropriate....

I'll probably watch today to see what BW says. I wonder if her discomfort stems from not being able to personally bf :?
I'm not usually one to do this and I ff due to many reasons but would give so much to have been able to bf -- anyways, back on topic, I don't usually do this but I sent Barbara an email.

Basically, I kept it short and sweet. I'm sure she'll get plenty with all of the information about how beneficial it is so I just told her that it's nature's convenient way to feed a child and it's the one reason we have breasts. I told her that a nursing mom isn't nursing to offend her and that she is the one who controls how she responds to the situation. I invited her to a LLL meeting before she comments on it again in public.

Thanks for letting us know. I always thought Barbara was very pro-woman so I was quite surprised to read about this.

I can't stand the show. I've seen it a couple of times and each time I find myself changing the station because it's like nails on a chalk board. They are all very full of themselves and it's all about "me." I've got much better things to do with my time then hear what they have to think on every subject that comes up.

Thanks again!

Well, I don't think I could drag the TV outta the closet fast enough...it's on here now......and for all the effort it would take, would I really be surprised at anything that was said?! I really despise that show.....it's, IMO the absolute worse thing on TV.....yep even worse than any reality crap out there. To think that they are represenative of any woman makes my brain hurt!

Maybe someone should let Starr know that the best way to combat obesity is to BF...you know so any future children of hers may not follow in her footsteps....cheap shot, I know but well deserved :LOL

I never watch that show, but I just happened to be home today and flipping through the channels. I caught part of what BW said, and I was so upset that I could NOT watch anymore. It was so upsetting to see something so anti-NIP shown on such a public, wide-spread scale.

I'm off to write her a letter, too.
