Hi -- I'm not a regular poster on this board, but after reading about eczema in a recent issue of Mothering, thought I'd pass along something that has worked for us in the past. DS has had a few cases of mild eczema that seemed to be related to gluten or dairy -- especially when we travel and I've been less careful with food intake. What has worked brilliantly for us is a product called "Nappy Gel" from the Active Birth Centre in London (they will ship to the US from what I understand). www.activebirthcentre.com
It is actually a gel based product for diaper rash and it worked wonders for DS in that regard, but also on eczema patches. I just used it again after seeing some spots appear on his face and body. It is not cheap, but we've had great success with it. Hope this helps someone. If you would like to try it, pm me -- I have a little extra before I place another order and can send the first person who replies a small sample.
